'A Bouquet of Love'

This floral painting, while large, is true to the actual size. The arrangement was exquisite.  The single large white hydrangea was supported by contrasting deep red carnations.  The outer edges were pink and peach colored flowers which softened the edges of the bouquet fading out to the atmosphere beyond.  I truly enjoyed capturing the elegance as well as the atmosphere of this arrangement.

'Following Her Footsteps'

The reference photo was taken on Kaanapali beach in Maui, Hawaii, moments before sunset. My granddaughter was in her own little world intrigued with stepping back in her previous footsteps.  She held up the skirt of her dress so as to not get it wet.  The breeze was gentle and the rhythm and sound of the waves was relaxing.

' Waimoku Falls, Maui', oil on linen, 20 x 24,  Waimoku Falls is 400' tall and is one of many waterfalls along the road to Hana.  This lush greenery accentuates the grace and beauty of the falls.

Hidden in my heart is a passion for the great open country of our western states.  The majesty of the mountains, beautiful open skies, rugged terrain, untamed animals and the ranchers lifestyles.  This collection is inspiration from my own experiences of this area, as well as a few from reference photos from relatives and friends.
